Chief Veterinary Officer of NVA General Practice
Sandra Faeh, DVM
At NVA, our general practice teams are driven by a common goal: to ensure broad access to high-quality care for all pet owners. As Chief Veterinary Officer, I will work alongside our Medical Advisory Board, our field and hospital leaders, and our clinical community to help our veterinary teams achieve their full potential.
Throughout my career, I have been driven by the opportunity to make the world a better place and pass on my knowledge to the next generation. After earning my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I became Managing Veterinarian and part-owner at Elmhurst Animal Care Center, along with three small animal hospitals in the Chicago suburbs. I also served as President of the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, President of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Vice President. In July 2023, I was elected by industry peers to serve as AVMA President-Elect for the 2023-2024 term and AVMA President for the 2024-2025 term. At NVA, I am a member of our Medical Advisory Board and co-creator and Lead Mentor of NVA’s General Practice Mentorship Program. When I’m not supporting our veterinary professionals, I enjoy reading, running, walking my dogs, Tobe and Rigi, and riding my horse, Ace.
