Dolfato Joins NVA in Newly Created Role to Oversee the Company’s Global Business Development

National Veterinary Associates announced the appointment of Mark Dolfato as Global Chief Development and Strategy Officer. In the newly created role, Mr. Dolfato will oversee NVA’s global business development, including the expansion into new markets, formation of partnerships and pursuit of strategic acquisitions. He will report to NVA Chief Executive Officer Greg Hartmann.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mark to the NVA leadership team as we pursue new opportunities to strengthen our leadership position as the premier global pet care community dedicated to progressive and compassionate veterinary care,” said Greg Hartmann, CEO of NVA. “As a former member of NVA’s Board of Directors, Mark brings a deep understanding and appreciation for our mission to deliver world-class care and elevate the veterinary profession. Mark’s successful track record growing global healthcare and consumer-facing businesses, leading high-performance teams and his passion for veterinary care, make him a natural fit to help oversee our growth and expansion.”

A proven strategist with more than 20 years’ experience supporting mission-driven, high-growth organizations, Mr. Dolfato most recently served as Senior Managing Partner at OMERS Private Equity, the direct private equity investment arm of OMERS, one of Canada’s largest pension funds with approximately $100 billion of net assets under management. In this role, Mr. Dolfato oversaw the firm’s investments in middle-market companies in the healthcare, consumer services and industrials sectors, including Great Expressions Dental Centers, TurnPoint Services, United States Infrastructure Services, Community Vet Partners, and most notably NVA. He brings particular expertise in cultivating strategic partnerships and executing growth initiatives, efforts that will be critical to NVA’s long-term success.

“I am pleased to reunite with the NVA team at such an exciting time for the veterinary industry,” said Mr. Dolfato. “NVA is incredibly well-positioned to capitalize on the favorable trends in pet care, and I look forward to working closely with the leadership team to build upon NVA’s rich history as a trusted partner for practicing veterinarians and the community’s deep commitment to transforming the care experience for pets and their families. NVA’s talented team and shared mission present a clear opportunity to pursue significant market expansion and introduce complementary services both in the U.S. and internationally.”
